Dear HEC Family,
We hope that this letter finds you and your loved ones well and safe. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us, and it is impacting our Thanksgiving plans at Immaculate Conception Parish. As many of you know, Thanksgiving at Immaculate has grown over the years from being a small dinner service for a senior citizen community to a true Thanksgiving celebration that has not only served over 200 in house meals but also over 200 to go-meals to the community. Many of you have been part of that amazing journey.
Unfortunately, Covid-19 requires us to make adjustments, and it is with a heavy heart that we must ask folks not to show up in person this year. Instead we need your generosity of spirit and your financial support. We have figured out a safe way to purchase prepared meals to deliver to our senior community. Each meal will cost $10. Can we ask you to please make a $10 donation to cover a meal for a member of our community this Thanksgiving?
If you are interested in donating, we have set up a Venmo account to accept donations. The special account is: @Thanksgiving150. (You may also see “Martin Rogers” pop up as owner.)
Please share and invite your friends, family, and coworkers to participate. Every dollar helps! We ask that you please donate by November 16th. We will miss seeing your warm and friendly faces this year and hope that next year we can safely return together to celebrate. Please take care of yourselves and others during this difficult time. If you have any questions or resources you can donate, please call Francine or Marty at 718-292-0697. You can also leave a donation at the ICC Rectory. Thanks again!
